Sources

Where PatchRecord information comes from and how to check it.

Our sources

  • Weapon histories are built from published Call of Duty game updates. Beta and preview notes are not included.
  • Multiplayer and Warzone are kept separate, and a mode without information is never filled in from the other.
  • Loadout and attachment effects are not treated as changes to the base weapon.

Check the original

Every dated change in a weapon's history on Summary links to where it came from, so you can read the original wording. Quoted text is kept short; follow the link for the full original.

What the numbers mean

  • The current value is the latest value an update states.
  • The first documented value is the earliest one we have. It is not necessarily the launch value.
  • Not every in-game value is published. Missing values stay unknown and are never estimated.
  • See the methodology for how to read Meta Ranking.

Limits

Some older updates could not be recovered, and some do not say enough to be counted. These gaps are shown on the weapon rather than filled in.

You can also read separately saved, unscored update statements. These are kept for context when the weapon, game mode or meaning is unclear. They do not affect a weapon's Meta Ranking.
